right now I'm caught as to whether I should set everything in the Bronze Age Med and have it be like a period piece, or whether it should be a 21st cent AU. I feel like both would be really good but idk which one would be cooler.

what do you think? the plus side of doing it set in actual Troy is I don't have to spend a ton of time researching the setting or anything. but I also don't wanna get too bogged down in the complexities of the ancient world.

i love both ideas. i mean, i love the piece you just posted set in the ancient world, and i feel like it's quite a unique au idea - most historical au is a little sketchy on the details and it would be amazing to read something written by an actual classicist. i am just mostly excited to read about harry as helen. i'm a simple girl with simple interests, ok.
